Built in 1828, Cove Point was automated in 1986. To reach it, travel east to the end of Cove Point Road (Rte. 497). The facility is occupied by Coast Guard personnel, who schedule tours by appointment. To gain access, call the Coast Guard in Baltimore at (410) 789-1609.
