bulletGalleries

The online photo galleries were built using the html engine provided by Breeze Systems, Inc. as part of their BreezeBrowser application. This application takes much of the drudgery out of creating an attractive online photo gallery. This software is a great addition to the tool set of a serious digital photographer. It also includes post-processing capability for Canon RAW files.

The base template chosen for the BlockPhotos.com galleries was provided by Peter Berger Fotografie. A PBase template designed for BreezeBrowser was the foundation. Modifications to the original javascripts and cascading style sheets led to the look you see on BlockPhotos.com.
bulletImages

All images were prepared for the web using Adobe Photoshop. Gallery images are highly compressed JPEGs available at screen resolution (72 ppi) only. The originals are much higher quality.

Images created from analog slides were digitized using a Nikon film scanner and saved in TIFF format. Subsequent post-processing was done in Adobe Photoshop CS.

Digital photos on the site were taken with Canon digital SLRs in either RAW or high-resolution JPEG mode. Post-processing of RAW files was done in Adobe Photoshop.

All photos were reduced to their online size using FM Web Presenter Pro, a Photoshop plugin available from fredmiranda.com. The frames around each image were produced using FM Frames, another FM Photoshop action. The thumbnail images seen in the photo galleries were automatically created by BreezeBrowser during html page generation.
